For so long Spedeworths 2nd track in Scotland. Armadale ran its opening meeting on 28-5-71 and it remained a Spedeworth track for the next decade. Then in 1982 it
had a single year as GMP's 2nd Scottish track, before again reverting to Spedeworth before closing to the cars at the end
of 1984. It was then resurrected in 1987 to become the home of Spedeworth Scotland with their demise at Cowdenbeath. It
remained the Spedworth Scotlands home until Spedeworth Scotlands demise in 1989. It then became
the home of Spedworth Armadale until Spedworth in Scotland became no more in 1991 with the final
meeting taking place on 29/12/91. 13 years on the stadium remains. Despite the occassional rumour
no further cars have raced at "The Dale", the tarmac is now gone replaced by the shale of the Monarchs speedway track, the
dog track survives alongside.
